China has rejected a warning from NASA Administrator Bill Nelson that China might "take over" the moon as part of a military programme, calling it an irresponsible smear campaign. Nelson said China's space programme was a military one and that China had stolen ideas and technology from others, in an interview published in German newspaper Bild on Saturday.
